Very cool. This is almost the exact build that's in my wish list at NewEgg. I saw your post on AVS about the HDMI handshake issues with this motherboard and ended up here.

Any luck using DVI to HDMI, or maybe just the VGA connection? It's obviously not ideal, but neither is unplugging the HDMI connection every time you'd like to use the HTPC.

It looks like most of the wrinkles have been worked out with the Antec case, so I'm just down to ensuring this is the motherboard chipset I want to run. All things considered, it looks like the 8200/8300 boards have been more problematic.

Thanks for the great writeup.

AWSUM! I pretty much knew just what you had purchased and the specs on your componants from the photo. Great stand. Doug Hank was visiting his dad and they came over to discuss the good ole days including your Radio Shack Experiences. Doug is 39, single and a computer "someone" with AT & T. He asked about you and if I still used the Coke Cola cup holder in my tower? (I get no respect).
Enjoy your hi-tec toys while I enjoy my space age DSL service (Really FAST). Dad....

Sweet! Now the family is posting in my blog! Remind me to get your buzzardbend.com Web site up to date for you... Then you can do the same! I suppose we could get a running of Top Gun in HD the next time you guys are out... Perhaps they still have the Pepsi commercial at the beginning as well! Have fun on your trip!

Hey guys, looks fabulous! I actually read some of the techno-info .... how exciting that it's all together and you're enjoying it in those oh-so-comfy chairs complete with cup holders!

Anxious to get an actual viewing .... seems like seeing Top Gun again would be a good choice of movies!

Be well .... hope all is going well. We're off to Cabo early tomorrow morning for a week of fishing. Great people going with us so we're looking forward to a fabulous, although quite warm, time on the beach! Talk to you when we get back!

Love and hugs to both
